
O2 Arena
Audience comfort during concerts is an important part of the overall audience experience. An investigation was carried out at the O2 Arena during a concert to determine the response of the stands and to check that they did not create too much bounce with real audience activity.
Tower of London
We wrote a document setting out how proactive and preventative measures will minimise operational noise moving through this third run of summer events at the Tower of London. Ultimately this document sets out how the organisers have minimised the risk of exceeding the advisory noise criteria for the events, and ultimately prevent causing a public or private nuisance; which is the objective of the agreement with HRP, The Licensing Act 2003 and Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Kings Cross Central Development
The King’s Cross Central development is an ongoing 15-year construction plan coordinated by property developers King’s Cross Central General Partner Limited. A commitment was made in the Code of Construction Practice to undertake noise monitoring for the project.
OXO2
Sustainable Acoustics were instructed by OXO2 to advise on matters of noise control from the venue known as OXO, which is located on the second floor of the OXO Tower, London. The OXO2 venue has residential space on the floor above, and there has been a history of the building offering poor sound insulation between floors.
Millbank Tower, London
Sustainable Acoustics was been instructed to investigate the acoustic sound insulation between Floors 29 and 30 of Millbank Tower, as well as the capacity of the music system on Floor 29 to be able to reproduce a sound field that will not be intrusive to the commercial operation on the 30th floor.
St George the Martyr Church, Newbury
St George the Martyr Church in Newbury, carried out a significant refurbishments of its existing church building, including a provision for improving the acoustics within the main hall space where people were finding it difficult to hear speech. The small church was renowned for its warmth and for the acoustics that supported the sound of the choir, so the brief was to improve the space for speech without affecting its existing use.
